Born in Rio de Janeiro, he started practicing aikido in 1982. In 1986 he moved to Tokyo, Japan, where he studied for fifteen years at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo (Central Academy of Aikido). When he returned to Brazil, in 2001, he created the Círculo de Aikido group. In 2012, he was promoted to 6th Dan by the Aikikai. He is currently based in Pipa and travels around Brazil conducting seminars.

Pipa's dojo is the central point of the Círculo de Aikido, and receives visitors from Brazil and abroad all year round. As it is located in a tourist paradise, surrounded by exuberant nature, Aikidoka travelers can enjoy all the charms of the place and also, of course, train with one of the greatest senseis in activity in Brazil.
