The Círculo de Aikido group was created in 2001 by sensei Luis Gentil Gonçalves, when he returned to Brazil, after having lived in Japan for fifteen years, training at the Hombu Dojo (central dojo of Aikido in Tokyo).
The Group led by Sensei Luis follows the rules and guidelines of Hombu Dojo from Japan, owing respect to the legacy of O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, his successor, Kisshomaru Ueshiba, and the current Doshu, Moriteru Ueshiba, as well as his guidelines for the development of Aikido throughout the world. world.

Sensei Luis Gentil Gonçalves
Luis Gentil Gonçalves, 6th Dan by the Japan Aikikai Foundation is the Founder and Technical Director of the Círculo de Aikido.
He started the practice in 1981 and lived in Japan for 15 years, dedicating himself exclusively to Aikido, training at the Hombu Dojo, at the Aikikai Foundation, the cradle of world Aikido.
He has been an instructor since 2001 and is currently based in Pipa, Natal/RN.
Annually, he holds several seminars throughout Brazil, in the dojos of the Círculo de Aikido and also at the invitation of other groups.
